And I was rereading part of Yami no Matsuei when I was out in the spa (...jacuzzi to some of you) with my parents. And now I am probably going to end up making a Tatsumi account and a bunch of icons! :|b Anyone know any good words for a username that have something to do with shadows?

My parents let me have some champagne when we were out in the spa. I only took like five sips of it but now my head feels all funny. C-coincidence? I refuse to believe that I am that much of a lightweight. But the spa never ever does this to me so idek.

Oh, and tonight I am taking advantage of my lack of internet restriction and going on a downloading spree.

Randomly, because I feel like it! Peo's list of Required Movie Viewing, the movies I love that everyone ever should see. Contains links to trailers and two-sentence blurbs (look, I can do short descriptions!). Note that movies that everyone ever has already seen (i.e. The Lion King, Nightmare Before Christmas, etc.) are not included, because there's no point in recommending them.

the way the world ends / a wild adapter FST

Wild Adapter is the story of two men: Kubota Makoto, a misanthropic teenager with a violent streak, who lives detached from reality; and Tokitoh Minoru, a sarcastic, naïve amnesiac with a traumatic past and a monstrous right hand. The two of them are searching for information on a mysterious drug known as "WA," hoping to find some sort of link to Tokitoh's past.

I've seen plenty of FSTs for these two as a pair, but never for the series in general-- which is a shame, really. Quite a bit of the story of Wild Adapter is told through the eyes of the supporting characters, which provides a lot of opportunity for further exploration of the story rather than just focusing on the main pair.

And so, without further ado, I present you:

Mostly of note for myself, so I remember how to make it-- Peo's Ultimate Hot Chocolate Recipe:

• 1 mug of hot milk (1%, but others could work-- what would it taste like with different types of milk?) ((also note: a little less than 1.5 cups))


• 3 tablespoons of Hershey's chocolate sauce (dark chocolate cocoa mix works too, but I'm all out-- make note to keep experimenting with mixing different brands)


• semi-sweet chocolate chips, ~15 or so


• about 1/2 teaspoon of white chocolate cocoa mix


• a hint of mocha mix, maybe 1/4 teaspoon or so


• about 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla


• a tiny, tiny hint of cinnamon


• whipped cream on top, stirred in

Personalized to suit my tastes after lots of experimenting :| Feel free to steal, but Peo encourages all you chocolate lovers out there to experiment and find your own~

So while cleaning out my desk I found my old iPod.

And it occurred to me that while I'll never use it again, there might be someone on here who would possibly maybe want this old thing, as incredulous as it sounds.

I'd be willing to sell this thing for really cheap. Hell, I'd be willing to give the thing away if I had to.

It's pretty old and I'm not sure if anyone actually WOULD want it, but I figured I'd give it a try anyway.

See, when I say old I mean OLD. It's a 15GB black and white model-- not the original but one of the older models. It's about 4 inches tall, 2 and a quarter inches wide, 5/8 of an inch thick, and it comes with a black rubberish cover with a belt clip on the back. It's (apparently) a rare model with the buttons lined up between the screen and the wheel, isntead of on the wheel itself. When I used it at school, everyone marveled at it because they'd never seen one like it.

It's kind of old, and has a dent in the back. The screen fades a bit when you have it out in the sun too long-- which means that as long as you're careful (unlike me) and don't live in the pits of hell during summer (unlike me), it should be fine. Other than the flickering when it overheats, it's still in perfect technical condition.

Rather old, but hey. I'm not going to use it, so if you want it, or know someone who would want it, give me a holler.

J-DRAMA PIMP POST OF DEATH

Well, I do technically have a journal that I use for j-drama reviews, but it's pretty much that in name only by now (I only have it in the first place because I wanted the journal name, anyway), and I really just use it for keeping track of what I've seen.

That said, whenever someone asks me to recommend something, I always find I have way too many to talk about. So I figure, why not just toss them all into one post? Not all of these are on my "required viewing" list, but are good anyway, so.

Note that this post is for recommendations only, and I will not be uploading anything here because holyshit that's way too much and probably not allowed anyway. I would be happy to provide links to torrents, streaming sites, or subbers' websites for those who don't like or aren't good at searching, however. XD

Disclaimer: there is a rather obvious JE bias here as Tenimyu and Kamen Rider give me most of my D-Boys fix. I regret nothing. That said, GETTING ON WITH IT.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was doing just fine, I thought. Until it hit episode 12. The part where they meet up with Izumi again, and go into flashback mode to the beginning of their training? Totally changed around. And I can't say I think it was for the better.
